Fables #3 – Comic Review

Title: Blood Tells
Writer: Bill Willingham
Penciller: Lan Medina
Inker: Steve Leialoha
Published by Vertigo on September 2002

Short Recap:

Snow White reports the progress of Red Rose’s murder investigation to King Cole, the unofficial mayor of Fabletown. And on the same time, Bluebeard penetrated the lock-up in order to get information from Jack regarding┬áRed Rose’s whereabout.

Review:

I don’t know what to say about this issue because well, we actually get the same treatment from the previous issue. Willingham continue to serve us with great story telling and various interesting and more realistic take on our fables character while on the same time fails to create a good story in terms of a crime mystery kind of story.

Lan Medina also continue to provide us with a nice and realistic artwork. It works really well with these magical creatures. There are also some awesome panels in this issue, for example is Bigby confrontation against Bluebeard.

Conclusion:

This issue brings everything good from the previous issue, but also brings everything bad from the previous one. But since the previous one isn’t a bad issue, I won’t complain much about this issue.

Score: B-
